This finely ground bamboo powder, mixed with sodium bicarbonate, creates an ultra fine polish to gently exfoliate without damaging facial skin. Bamboo (Banslochan) powder is rich in minerals and silica. The finely milled powder acts as a gentle exfoliant sloughing of dead skin cells from the surface layer and allowing new rejuvenated skin to surface. With the onset of age, the natural exfoliation process slows down substantially. If dead skin cells are not properly removed, the stratum corneum layer thickens with cell build-up. Skin afflicted with cell build-up is pale and lifeless. Cell build-up leads to dehydration, poor oxidation, sluggish circulation, formation of blemishes, and rough, uneven skin.
According to ancient Chinese literature, the bamboo plant is known to have 1,001 uses, including its benefits to the skin. This crystalline powder is very rich in mineral salt and is an excellent source of silica, which makes it a mild exfoliant. It is ground to 160 microns for a light gritty feel. This extract is said to be a high-performing scrub targeting particularly rough, dry skin on feet, elbows, knees, or any other areas of the body that require vigorous exfoliation.
